Hi, I’m Katie! I’m a portrait photographer, mama, and lover of pretty light, genuine connection, and all the little moments that make life feel special.

I’ve been photographing people and their stories for more than a decade, and I still feel incredibly lucky every time someone trusts me to capture a season of their life. From growing families and playful little ones to seniors and couples, I love creating images that feel joyful, natural, and full of personality.

Michigan has always felt like home, and today my family and I are lucky to call Traverse City ours. I’m a little obsessed with the beauty of Northern Michigan — the water, the trees, the changing seasons, and those dreamy sunsets that make you want to stop and take it all in. It’s pretty hard not to find inspiration around here.

My style is bright, colorful, and light-filled, but I never want your photos to feel stiff or overly posed. I’ll guide you when you need it, give you space when you don’t, and probably encourage a little dancing, snuggling, or goofing off along the way.

Most of all, I want you to enjoy the experience. I want you to laugh, soak up your people, and leave your session thinking, that was actually really fun.
